Project CLASS was developed by Houston Achievement Place in 1997. Since 1974, Houston Achievement Place (HAP) has trained hundreds of Foster Parents to teach social skills to their foster children. Beginning in 1997, HAP training expertise birthed Project CLASS with the initial Project CLASS services being focused in schools.

Over 80,000 children and adults have already benefited from Project CLASS. More than 7,000 teachers, school staff, and daycare center staff have received Project CLASS training.

Project CLASS is currently being implemented
in 50 local area elementary schools and early childhood centers, positively impacting over
23,000 children.

Project CLASS Social Skills Universe
(field-trip) has been successfully developed
and implemented since 2002. More than 7,000 children and adults have experienced Project CLASS Social Skills Universe.
