Social Skills Universe (SSU) is an accelerated, hands-on physical learning environment created
to make learning and reinforcing social skills extraordinarily fun. SSU is an two-hour field-trip experience with a teaching-learning focus, ideally suited for elementary schools, day-care centers, churches, family groups and other organizations. SSU operates out of a building located in the Houston Heights on the HAP campus. SSU is
a blast!

Social Skills Universe has integrated a focused teaching-learning curriculum and an extremely creative engaging approach that positively impacts both children and adults. HAPkey, a friendly alien, and her space dog, INO, live in Social Skills Universe. They have problems getting along with others because they do not know about social skills. As the children help HAPkey and INO learn about the importance of learning and using social skills, they gain new confidence and awareness which enables their increased success at home,
in school and in the world around them. As adults watch the children experience SSU, they see
first-hand the best ways to relate to, enjoy and teach children important skills for school and
life success.
